The Department of Visual Arts, Humanities, and Theatre offers instructional programs in visual arts, philosophy & religion, theatre, and courses in humanities. Each of these programs leads to either the Bachelor of Science or the Bachelor of Arts degree.
Student majors are expected to select courses from each instructional program within their respective department.
In the CSSAH Visual Arts program, students can pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with a choice between two tracks: Contemporary Arts Practices or Game Art.
The program aims at enhancing critical thinking skills of undergraduate students through classes specifically engineered to provide these skills, including classes devoted to this subject (Critical Inquiry and Logic).
Most theatre majors receive the Bachelor of Arts degree; however, students who concentrate in Technical Theatre or Theatre Management may elect the Bachelor of Science degree.
