Auditions
Auditions will be used as an assessment tool for the theatre program. Each student’s audition will be assessed by the show director and the performance faculty.
Casting
Casting singers who move well and dancers who perform jazz, lyrical, or ballet styles.
All auditioners are required to submit a headshot and résumé.
Dec. 1 – Monologue and Song | @ 6:30 p.m.
Prepare a dramatic or comedic monologue (30 seconds to 1 minute) and 32 bars of an
R&B, pop, or gospel song (uptempo or ballad) that showcases your vocal range. The
entire audition should not exceed 2 minutes.
No a cappella singing. Please bring vocal track accompaniment. Tracks must be submitted via the Dropbox link.
- Create a folder labeled with your first & last name
- Upload your properly cut audition track
- Ensure the track is ready to play upon arrival
Dec. 2 – Dance Auditions | @ 6:30 p.m.
Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. for warm-up and stretching. Please wear dance attire
that shows the form of the body, and character, jazz shoes or other comfortable shoes.
Be prepared to learn and perform a dance combination.
Dec. 3 – Vocal Callbacks | @ 6:30 p.m.
Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. for vocal warm-up. Be prepared to learn and perform a
song from the show.
COMMITTMENT
Six weeks of rehearsal beginning Monday, January 12, 2026 and seven performances: February 25 - March 1, 2026.
