BOOK OF LAYMAN

WRITTEN AND DIRECTED BY JAMES WEBB

Mainstage Series
OCTOBER 14 - 15, 2026
Charles Winter Wood Theatre,
Edmonds Stage

Book of Layman is a haunting work of magical realism that unfolds in a mysterious realm between heaven and earth, where the dead discover that death does not free them from the burdens they carried in life. As old wounds, family secrets, and impossible choices resurface, one soul must confront the difference between surviving, suffering, and truly finding peace. Rich with Southern storytelling, humor, and heart, James Webb’s new play explores what it takes to forgive, to be forgiven, and to finally let go.
